No one knew who The Plus 4 were, even as they’d put out some great singles. But now the mystery is solved: it’s SUPER 8, AKA Paul Ryan.

The tone is mid 60s Rubber Soul rock, somewhat rougher and punker, but no less melodic, and good.

All four tracks have something to recommend them, whether it’s catchy tunes or good lyrics about romantic ups and downs. So if you’re on the lookout for something Beatles-like or just good power pop, this might be exactly what you’re looking for.
